SmartCity Malta welcomed the official inauguration of the Shoreline Mall by the Prime Minister of Malta Robert Abela on Friday, 8th March, 2024 after having opened its doors to the public on the first day of the month.

The Shoreline Mall is the largest shopping mall on the island, standing out for both its size and the large variety of brands available under one roof. Housing around 44 different outlets, most of them flagship stores, the mall incorporates a wide variety of retail choices and offers a complete shopping experience that is complemented by dining options and innovative entertainment features.

This landmark event not only enriched the landscape of SmartCity Malta but also became a hub of activity, fostering connections and bringing to life a new dynamic that further advances the overarching vision behind the SmartCity development.

In its unwavering commitment to the success of all key projects, SmartCity Malta has prioritized the completion of essential infrastructure in time for the opening of the Shoreline Mall. Among other things, this comprised the construction of a road leading to The Shoreline’s underground car park, a new roundabout, and the installation of underground services such as high voltage electricity cables to meet the mall’s extensive requirements.
